Sunflowers to me represent a burst of sunshine.  This pastel drawing of a sunflower shows that burst of life.   Created from a photo taken by friend Tenley Fohl, whose fabulous photography is giving me the inspiration to capture the beauty of nature especially flowers, a newer subject matter for me.

On a wine tour with Stagecoach Wine Tours in Santa Barbara County, I met Doodle at one of our winery stops, Belle Cavalli.  Doodle's welcomed us to our picnic lunch at this Equestrian Facility and winery.  This drawing of Doodle's eye is created from the fantastic picture that my photography friend Tenley Fohl took of Doodle.
